we are doing modulus function at the moment and I was just wondering whether this question is asking me to substitute the values that it says between e.g. -2 to 0 in the equation and then sketch. it just seems a bit obvious and random.
Oh and the inequalities are all equal to and greater/less than.

yes, your function is defined as what it is in that picture.

so for the first interval draw what would be there with the function given, and with the next interval draw what would be there with the second function.
