Re: Multivote: Which of these subjects is/was your favourite at A level/IB/Highers (II put 'Languages' not Modern Languages. Your interpretation is your own but I've left this option open to both types.(Original post by derangedyoshi)
"History (including History of Art)" :L
Anyway, my choices were Maths (easy and also really interesting when you get a tough problem), Chemistry (easy and quite interesting) and Other (thinking of Latin, I didn't see the Languages option, plus as someone said it has some connotations of Modern Languages - I would lump Latin into Classics before Languages. Whereas Modern Languages are all examined with the whole reading, writing, listening, speaking thing, you never have to do any of the last three in Latin. -

Chemistry is fun and interesting. I usually sit down and relax with a Chem book anyway and stuff. Some of the chemistry I like is not "Syallabus Chemistry" if you get my drift.

History is great! I love how much freedom the syllabus provides. If our school offered Politics, I'm sure that would be even better.
However, I will admit that the rewards of HL Math are well worth the headaches.
On the other side of the spectrum, I really do not enjoy Chemistry. -

edit: It's something I've always thought would be brilliant fun. Not even for the LSD, just for the fun of practical chemistry(yes I do like cooking).Last edited by Planar; 06-03-2011 at 18:36. -

I basically went for the A Levels that I do - English Lit, History, Latin, and German - because although I do have a preference for the first 3 over German, I really enjoy all 4. I agree that TSR is blatantly unrepresentative of real A Level students - 30% maths? Madness.

Re: Multivote: Which of these subjects is/was your favourite at A level/IB/Highers (II'd like to retract that and swap chemistry with physics.(Original post by Contrad!ction.)
Maths and Chemistry. <3
Maths and physics. The teachers I have are great, lessons are engaging and I enjoy most of the topics.
