Another way of earning a bit online is by taking up project work. There are websites such as Freelancer, PeoplePerHour and Elance that offer this option. Some people claim to make a fair amount from project work, but I do think that the pay per job is quite low so you've got to do lots of jobs to make anything substantial I'd imagine. Of course, nothing is free, they will charge you a commission fee (not sure how much) which I believe they deduct from your payment once the work is done. If you go onto their website and read their terms etc., you'll get a more accurate outline of what's on offer.
