All 3 are really nice accommodation!
I would suggest going to the accommodation viewing day next year so you can have a look around each one and get a real feel for it yourself.
You will recieve a sheet with costs etc at this viewing day.

Same boat. I'm rather peeved with the lack of information re: costs in the brochures. These pictures are all rather pretty but realistically, S/C hovel for £minimum is fine for me :p:

They are all in completely different directions! Clarence Dock is past the university the other side of the city centre, Devonshire is in between Hyde Park and Headingley in the opposite direction and Oxley is even further in that direction! I would say definitely consider location to narrow down your choices...for example it's quite unlikely you'd be able to walk to university from Oxley.

Oh, thanks for the costings! Reppage.
Boddington is the cheapest and does have a lot of positive feedback. Realistically, how annoying would that commute get though?

See i looked at the loan and realised the only places i can go and still actually afford to live are Boddington, Oxley, Lupton and North Hill Court, tbh i think the first 2 are too far away, I don't particularly mind living in a bit of a dive, but anyone got any recommendations out of that lot??

hey guys im at oxley at them moment and its lovely! (im not in one of the en-suites flats btw) i cycle to uni everyday and it takes 15 mins, walking takes about 40 mins and bus times vary but usually about 20 mins, form boddington you would deffinatly have to get a bus pass, most people from oxley have one. boddington is apparently only good becuase of the social sence and the parties, but all halls are like that! ive heard that the accomidation isnt actually that good and if you got for catered good luck with keeping up with the meal times devonshire is closer, but

Go to Dev if you're a rah lol :P
that is a common theme tbh, (im from the south so im used to it :P)
    devonshire is also very oversubscribed...
lupton, i havent been there yet, but ive heard that its nice, its in the middle of headingly so it is closeish to campus you could walk, my friend cycles
as for clarance dock and north hill court im afraid i cant help you as i dont even know where they are yet! ha lol
if you guys want any more info from me just ask

Lupton is wonderful, I had friends who lived there last year and they loved it. You can definitely walk there... I've done it many times, both sober and drunk haha.

    Re: Leeds Accommodation
Im at concept 8mins and im at the Uni by foot no bus required, 5mins to Worsley LGI and city centre. 10mins to Morrissons and the main nightclub area. En Suite Self Catered.

Devonshire I know some people there, they all very posh and its all very formal and traditional, you might like that so it could be good for you.

Lupton is pretty simplistic cheap and its walkable least I would not walk back with the hills though, some very nice people live there and its 2mins to headingly Sainsburies. But there very roughed up properties compared to where im at, but I do pay more.

Oxley never met anyone from there cant be that big and lively then? Dont know nothing about it though.

Boddington is a long way off, but its a big huge community very similiar quality to Lupton, lots of nice people I know from there most lively other than my Concept Place mates.

Clarence dock ive heard mixed views about, apparently it can be very nice in some of the newly refurbed ones or very grimey in the ones they have not refurbed in ages. Its also city centreish... Its near another nightclub area some of the smaller ones. I know some people from there fairly lively types too. There is a bus service by Uni Link that takes people from Clarence Dock to the Uni and back and some of them at set times of the day the max fare is £1. Its walkable to the Uni but my friend doesnt walk it anymore due to cold weather and rain an in the heat it wud be a treck.

Quality of Leeds University accomodation is all very similiar and the layout, its the location that differs and slight variations on pricing. I would suggest going to look at Private Halls, quality is better and customer service deal with any issues promptley.

For me I wanted simple things like a sofa rather than all the rickety chairs that u get in your shared space which is all boxy and small no matter which Leeds University accomodation you visit. So I went private and chose Concept Place, Leeds Uni fill it with its students but its owned by UNITE the UK's biggest student halls accomodation company. Or the Tannery is very similiar to Concept Place but a little older by the same company 2mins away from Concept Place, let out by Leeds Uni again but run by the UNITE company so standards are better. The shared space is very big and comfortable for hanging out in socialising its in a different type of student area with other private halls around. The people are lively and we are in the city centre walk to and from the clubs keeping cost down no need for transport. If you want a taxi its £2.70 to the nightclubs in the city centre. Suits me good, nice cheap booze and studenty essentials shop and £8 hairdressers 2mins further down the road. This suits me great and im glad I didnt go to the Uni accomodation, which is better than most Uni's but just didnt seem comfortable for me.

If you want best cheapest: Lupton, slightly less roughed up and nice little area. Though its still a treck to the Uni you wont get anything cheap near the Uni.

Check out montague burton its nice and close I think its the same cheap price of £75 a week as Lupton and Boddington, but I could be wrong... Its closer to city centre and campus. I think you share with only 4 aswell yet get the same kitchen area size. Kitchens all same sort of spec and layout tbh though. Location is really what you should choose by no place is nicer than the others. The social scene is everywhere and is pot luck, they dont tbh pair you to suitable people, you get chucked where you fit ultimately lol. Not many people know about the jewel of Montague, its got outside area for summer too its pretty tick box place really underestimated. Though I only know one guy there. Not sure price of Leodis but thats close too.

If it was me and doing it on cost analysis it would be location and cheapest, not sure what leodis is like but its location is near montague and 4mins to the Uni aswell. Its like 15mins to city centre all on foot no need for buses, keeps the pricing down works out cheaper cause of bus passes at boddington or lazy day riders u end up getting staying at Lupton because u cant be assed to walk it in the bad weather.

I stayed in Lupton last year, and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I'd made. It's the cheapest accommodation which was a huge factor for me as that's all I could afford. Everything you need is there, and the outdoor bits are class.

Probably the favourite thing for me though was the location. You're literally a minute away from the main Headingley strip which has some cracking pubs / bars i the Oak and the Box. Them two and the accompanying subway/kfc must've taken a huge proportion of my student loan!

I was there, it is good, but I found on the whole the social life to be a bit lacking, and also it's definitely overpriced. I did however enjoy the proximity to campus as well as having an ensuite.

Concept Place is newer the spec is the same, though im bias to Concept. Its just a bit tattier at Tannery as its older. Pricing is same I think though... Facilities same but the Tannery has a shop at the bottom of it, we go down the road to a different shop though from Concept about 3min walk. The Tannery has a key fob system we have at Concept eletronic cards, which can go in wallets or purses. The location for the Tannery is 2mins down some steps or a hill from Concept. So Concept is just a tad closer to the Uni.

Personally I would go with Concept but a backup with Tannery as it would not be a hell of a lot different, types of people similiar also and both full of Leeds Uni students 95%+
