thankyou and thats one of the reasons i like it, long enough lie ins but seperate from the campus is it in walking distance to the city centre too?

oh and does anyone know if the flats that share kitchen/living spaces are mixed gender? i don't really mind either way, i'm just curious
I think so! Tbh I've only ever come through Leeds one way so I'm not entirely sure about where the centre is in regards to the campus oh well we'll soon find out! (hopefully :P )

    henry price shared bathroom question
I like Henry price accommodation but wouldn't be able to afford the ensuite. I saw on the open day that the rooms with the shared bathroom don't have locks on the bathroom doors. Is this an issue or is it ok at uni? It doesn't seem very safe and I don't want people walking in on me!

    Hey,

Does anyone know the viability of walking from Leodis, The Tannery/The sentinel or Montague Burton to campus?

Curious if everyone does walk or whether there is an alternative - it seems to close to get a bus? but I'm not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Montague Burton is about a 5-10 minute walk to campus, depending where on the campus you're going. Leodis isn't much further than that. No idea about the Tannery or Sentinel Towers as I don't know where they are.

    Re: Leeds Accommodation 2012/13 Thread
Hi guys, i put Leeds as my firm last week after visiting, but everyone I spoke to who is either there now or been finished their degree told me to stay in Boddington because it's supposed to have the best atmosphere, which is what most people say about the cheaper accommodation at most unis, but bods is unavaliable next year. anyone suggest what the 'new boddington' would be?
    Cheers

Holy crap this is confusing stuff. Someone should just make a list of the best accommodations with pros and cons and be done with it. Make my life so much easier haha

As I say in my post before,I think that Leodis and Sentinel Towers are near to the medical and dental school.look:http://accommodation.leeds.ac.uk/
Thanks I've not got a clue about the city itself so don't know how far the accomodation is from the Dental school. Anyone else going to Leeds for Dentistry and where are you hoping to stay?

You still can. That sometimes happened if you had an offer for last year as well and if you ring, we can make your application live for this year. If you didn't have an offer for last year, then I don't know - it's one of those wierd things, but again, just ring (if you're ringing tomorrow i.e. Wednesday, it'll have to be after 11 as we have a meeting to finalise the Viewing Day plans first thing)

Two friends who also tried to apply for accommodation have the same issue as well. We all firmed Leeds together yesterday afternoon, could that be why there is this issue? (maybe we are applying for accommodation too soon after firming the offer?)

This is all our first year on UCAS so it shouldn't be the reason you stated - must just be one of those things/errors

Should we all call tomorrow sometime after 11?

Yup, that's what it is - it takes a couple of days for your acceptance to filter through the UCAS system, then our Admissions system and into the accommodation system. You should be fine by Friday (although why don't you all come to the Viewing Day and then apply after? )

Re: henry price shared bathroom question
I've been wondering about this too. Tbh I'd rather have shared bathrooms between like 4 or 5 people. They'd most likely be cleaned, no one could walk in on you and apparently you can hear everything in the bathrooms between the walls.
