Hi
I'm studying Biological Sciences at birmingham - I'm not really sure if there is a specific "Molecular Cell Biology" course here [though as part of biosci we do cover an 'essential cell biology' module in the first year, and you can specialise further in the 2nd and 3rd years], but there is definately a Biochemistry Course.

At Birmingham, the School of Biosciences cover the 3 main degree titles of Biological Sciences, Human Biology and Biochemistry.
During the first term, all of these courses take almost the same set of modules - the only exception being the biochemists, who also take a chemistry module, put on by the school of chemistry. In the second term, the biologists and human biologists continue to take similar modules, but the biochemists take very different ones - i think more chemistry modules, and more molecular modules.

I'd just like to say, that my first year at bham uni has definately been one of the best - great people, a great place, and a great course!

Feel free to ask anything!
