What are combined coursers? and how do they work?

I am currently in year 12, but ive been told by my school to start looking at possible courses to take and possible unis to apply to,
I definately want to do german at uni, can anyone reccomend a good uni for that?
And if possible if anyone knows a good uni for combined courses?
My Current A level's are
Computer Science
Economics
Art
German

Im looking to possible do german with either economics or computer sceince( but that is a sticky one as i got a C in english and maths for gcse?)
