Hey,
Rang both universities and UCAS on Monday.
UCAS said that the trade is absolutely fine, but they will consider it as trade - for a new choice of uni, as opposed to an "offer trade."
The unis will just consider grades/references/PS just like normal new application, and all will be finalised by Feruary!!
So glad as I was sure universities never normally do this.

you are allowed to change choices within 14 days
I know, but I had applied about 2 months before and they still allowed me to change.
