Looks like we'll be seeing more of Gotham City rather than being stuck in the asylum

Still haven't played the first, but hopefully will have time during the holidays. I've heard good things.

Woo! AA was probably my favourite game of the year. And the ending did hint at a Sequel tbh.

Isn't it way too soon to announce a sequel? And i love the idea of a city environment this time and i hope to God they include Hush somehow. He needs more publicity.

A sequel was expected to be fair. All they have done is confirm it. We don't have a release date, so we can't say it's too soon to release a sequel.

    This.

And they already have the bulk of the work done, i presume there going to use all the engines and stuff from Arkham, so all they need to do is make new places, gadgets, moves etc. Its not like there starting from the ground up like the last one.

I just hope they don't use the same repetitive combat system from the first one; made the bosses far too easy.

I don't expect they will change the combat system. It was a noteworthy point of the original. As for the bosses, I don't really understand what you mean, as the boss fights tended to involve more than just the basic combat system, and every boss was different.

What difficulty did you play it on?

It's amazing. Truly breaks the cycle of "bad comic book adaptations".

Can't wait for the sequel. Ra's, Two Face and Penguin please. More Joker is good though, but less of the Venom nonsense.

Agreed - that's pretty much the first complaint that I've heard about the game's combat system, which I thought was extremely well done!

No other details yet, but it's certainly something to whet the appetite.

Oooh I loved Arkham Asylum, but will it just be more of the same? Environment certainly looks like it will be bigger.

Probably. It's a sequel to Arkham Asylum and being created by the same developer, so I doubt the formula from the first game will change too much.

Pop block version of the trailer, some clues as to possible bosses in the sequel, in case you missed them first time round.

Does anyone know the official release date for this yet? I have found 3, 24th September 2010 on Amazon, 29th October 2010 on Zavvi, and 3rd January 2011 on Game Trailers.
Regardless I am rather excited! I'm not too fussed if it is delayed till early 2011 as there are a few games to keep me occupied this Autumn/Winter, if I have too many I'll never get finish them before wanting to move on to the next.
