    Compulsory euthanasia
Should it be made compulsory that when you get to a certain age you should be taken to a clinic and, for want of a better word, disposed off. Now the older generation offer very little to society and are a drain on our finances with petrol etc. Whilst it may sound barbaric I think killing people for the benefit of the greater good is a positive move and would help ease the financial struggles the country is facing.

I would have the cut off a bit younger to be honest. Somewhere between 75 and 80. Although this may change if the older generation become physically stronger in the coming years.

I agree with this, and I would also add forced euthanasia at an agreed upon BMI. If you go above it, it's bye bye fatty.

I think there should be forced euthanasia on uselessness too. No job, no education, committing crimes etc.

Isn't compulsory euthanasia a PC way of saying 'politically legalised murder', like genocide?

    Re: Compulsory euthanasia
    You first.

You're confusing two different issues TBH - population control and euthanasia. Euthanasia should be legalised as a route for those in intense, prolonged, natural suffering to end their lives if they so choose. Population control can be done humanely through other means, such as a mandatory one child policy and heavily restricted immigration to result in a net decrease.

The moment we start killing people because they're too old in the eyes of those who have power, or because they're too fat, or because they can have any other minority label accurately attached to them [ethnicity, sexuality] is the moment that you take a big first step on the slippery slope towards outright fascism.

    No, we shouldn't legalise murder.

Amen to everything else you said, but I gotta disagree with you on the 1 child policy - to introduce that in the UK would be a Big Mistake (note the capital letters). I don't know what we should do instead, but definitely not the 1 child policy.

I only suggested it because it certifiably works at slashing population growth, if you put the will of the people into achieving it.

Surely the idea of compulsory euthanasia is a bit of an oxymoron?
