Not sure but I like the idea.

Are there some sort of preservatives you can add?

Creams naturally last long, don't they?

Nothing in there that should go off quickly. They're more likely to dry out before they go off.

I'm making truffles this year too and apparently they only last about 2-3 days, so make sure to put a note in with your present.

Hi,

I dont have much money this year to buy presents ...

So im going to make like fudge, truffles and peppermint creams and give them instead ...

Just wondering.. when making peppermint creams, how long will they keep for?

The recipie is icing sugar, egg white and peppermint essence?

Thanks

I know you can freeze them, although as yet I haven't found out how long they last before they lose their flavour, if you know what I mean.

I'll keep looking. :yep:
I made some a while back and they lasted for a month. I'd keep them in the fridge though (maybe put a note)

With Christmas presents they'll probably be munched quickly anyway.

I've just made peppermint creams today, but I used milk and butter instead of egg whites as I didn't want to risk raw egg with my Gran. They should keep for a few weeks so long as they don't get too warm.
Ahh, I remember making these in primary school each year . We'd half dip them in either white or milk chocolate too and give them to the parents.

Bet they tasted well naff too.
