Anyone else staying around over christmas and new year?

As in the title really, anyone else around?

Where is best for new year in St-Andrews, I did the raisin last year which was rather native filled, the wheypat the year before was nice but absolutely dead. I brung in the new year with the landlord and a petshop chain owner from manchester.

Any ideas gratefully received.

I'd personally be a bit cautious of going to Edinburgh with the roads being so bad... but they might improve by then.

I've never stayed in town over the Christmas break, but if I speak to anyone who has, I can feedback on their experiences.

Hey, I'm staying in North Tayside tonight... I'd love to be in the bubble to welcome in 2010... Shame its so empty without the massive student population (relatively speaking); The Byre was good last year, might come down at some point.
