Chavs. Unemployment. Benefits. Poor Government. The list is endless.
then :snow::snow::snow::snow: off to france, quite harsh but people always hate this country and complain and blah blah.

and maybe that's it, constantly complaining about stuff.

Our ability to laugh at ourselves, even in the worst situations - just look at this thread. I have yet to go anywhere that's as wonderfully self-deprecating as Britain.

There is no one particular defining feature as such. If you ask me, national cultures are essentially composed of the same ingredients, just different dispersed.

    Compared to Europe?
In comparison to europe its much of a muchness in my understanding, I just have a pathological hatred of parting with money, especially for the benefit of wider society.

In terms of things within europe that britain gets on my tits for I can't think of a thing, europe is pretty much the same all over bar language changes in my experience.

    Awesome name by the way.

No - Canada and the USA are the same (even cabins/trailers/carts).

That's such a typical thing to say for a person from Newcastle.
You do realise right that most of the international community don't even know Newcastle or 'Geordies' exist?

Nothing against them, as Brits it's great to embrace all parts of the country but seriously...the way northerners big themselves up is just so delusional, like you're all part of your own little cult or something :sigh:
    Um.. I was kidding. :/
There's nothing exactly fabulous about the north.
    Slight over reaction there.

    Tell me about it!
People need to stop hating on this country, their are much worst places to live with much worse living standards!
Britain has a lot to be proud of!

Taking the piss out of everything, including oneself and situations that wouldn't be considered appropriate for humour in other countries.
