How did today go for everyone?
I got 78, a C, which is better for IT1 than I did in the summer! My AS grade is now a B, just need to get a B in the IT3 to get a B overall.. hmmmm, i hopefully can do it!

I got my IT3 result back today, 88 b.

Im not really that happy, I thought I had nailed that exam! Ive sent it back to be remarked so now I just have to wait

Well, as it stands,

IT1 - 64
IT2 - 80
IT3 - 88
IT4 - 80 (Well it will be 80)

so, 312 which is a Grade B
and only 8 marks away from an A

If the remark does not find me 8 marks then I will resit IT1

If you manage to get it remarked up to 100/120 for IT3 you will get an A*! Goodluck

It didnt I got 4 Ive got 92/120 in IT3 now
Once I see the paper I might appeal!

Oh well I only need 4 marks in IT1 now to get an A overall

Got my paper back today. So not happy.

WJEC may not like it but i'm going to appeal.

Ive got mine in June, I messed up a bit by completely forgetting to answer section B :/, filled the answer booklet with section A and forgot to ask for extra pages.

Just going over the question I got the least marks on, mainly reading the textbook.

Where the questions similar to your previous IT3 exam, i.e the general layout?

No, I think you misunderstand, I did IT3 for the first time in January, I wont be resitting it. I didnt think it went to badly to be honest, I got a high B (92) and the next best mark in my class was a D (66). I was a not very nice paper though.
How did you do last summer, what mark did you get?

I am doing IT1, IT2 and IT4 in the summer.

Hey anyone know the grade boundaries for the WJEC coursework? I have around 72/80 in IT2 raw marks and 82/100 in IT4 raw marks.

Hey! In terms of UMS, an A is 64/80 in IT2 and IT4, and a B is 56/80. That always stays the same.

In terms of RAW marks like those you quoted, the grade boundaries for them change every year, but not by much. If we go by the figures from last year:

IT2: A = 72, B = 63
IT4: A = 83, B = 72

So in that case you have an A and a B. I would imagine that your UMS would be around 64/80 for both.

Yepp I am .. for the first time .. im really stressing about it. Plus ive got Psychology AS unit 2 on the same day, unfortunately.

Well, just learn the Mark Schemes. Thats all I did in January and I got 92/120 so it seems to work.

I need 35% to get C overall in ICT. OR 62% to get B overall. Getting 62% is around 49/90, which is hard considering how the strict the examiners mark the paper. I will learn the MS and try to memorise some stuff.

I did the same last year for IT1 got got 76/120. You should be fine for IT1, considering you got 92/120 in IT3 which is a harder unit than IT1.

Yeah everyone I know seems so say that IT1 is so much easier than IT3, I really dont think so. I dont know what it is but I just think there is so much more to learn its quite hard to score most of the marks.

If everything works out and my IT4 coursework is not changed then I only need to gain 4 more UMS so, 68/120 rather than the 64/120 that I have now. But my dilemma is that last year they marked the AS coursework down by 17 Marks! If that happens then I will need like 80/120. And I dont get the A I need for Uni
