Re: The site being slow?
I'd just like to say that often on threads, the posts load, but the quote box, article updates etc. to the right of the posts take forever to load sometimes, leaving the posts "stretched out".
It could quite easily be the boxes on the right that are causing some slowness. They always load last for me. -
Re: The site being slow?
grrr the sites being slow again. the layout is not showing up properly, and neither are the icons, and a page takes about 2-3 mins to load, when i finally manage 2 get onto a forum to post a new thread, the page only shows up till where it says title, so i cant type a message in. its been like this for the past few days, my interent conection is fine though.

Re: The site being slow?

That popped up when I tried to load a page at about 2 minutes to midnight, just after I had submitted a post.
I then clicked back and submitted it again, but I got the 5 minute post repetition message so I assume it got through the first time.Last edited by TheTallOne; 25-01-2010 at 00:07. -
Re: The site being slow? No, doubt it. The vB3.8 dev site is currently completely separate to the main TSR site. Plus if it were the developers would be able to identify the issues here more easily(Original post by sil3nt_cha0s)
Could it be something to do with the developers in Canada doing something major with vB3.8?

I'm still finding some pages taking longer than usual to load (taking 15-20 seconds to 'generate') and am keeping the devs informed. They have noticed a problem around the time we first experienced it just there, so hopefully they are on to something.

That, or people were really keen to discuss this morning's Edexcel exams!
