Could always try the catch-all of clearing your cache?

Thanks for reporting it guys. We had a little issue last night which we're looking in to. It meant the site was giving people errors for a couple of minutes.

Sorry to hear about your problems.

To work out if it's a site problem or something more connection to your PCs/internet connections can you give us a few more details.

What browsers are you using on the different machines you tried to access the site on? If you've only tried one browser, do you get the same issues on others?

Where the different locations schools/uni/public access computers, different wi-fi connections, different private computers etc?

Do you get any error messages showing up or problems when the page final load that could give an idea of what the problems are?

Have tried the (perhaps too obvious) general solution of clearing your cache on the machines you've tried to access the site on. Does that fix things for you? This is worth trying with many problems you experience on a website

Is there anything else you think is worthwhile mentioning?

Let us know the extra details and we'll see if we can help some more.

Im using Firefox on all the machine, one in my office, another in another office and one at home. The slowdown happens sometimes, at other times the pages load quickly. There are no error messages.

Thanks for reporting this. Do you know what the database error said?

What was happening during the 30 minutes you couldn't get on the site? Were you just getting the error all the time, was the page trying to load but failing?

I can't remember what the error said I should have written it down...

The page would try to load but would then fail Saying error

Clearing my cache, didn't have any effect either

Sorry that I'm not that helpful

Is the site being slow for anyone else? Probably expected due to the large volume of traffic today and yesterday but just want to confirm it's not just me...

I've experiencing this for the past 2 months, the site works completely fine on my ipad (using the browser not the app) but is really slow on my laptop

Its so irritating as I hate using it on my ipad, gives me neck problems
