Grats on the bench.

Nice to see a fellow hockey player as well. I highly advise getting liquid chalk, it's a few quid for huge deadlift progress.

Our lifts seem relatively similar, in to watch.

All the assistance with fat gripz. May have gone for too big an increase (40 to 50 is big), but felt pretty big. Will try doing assistance at 45kg next time.

Today, hockey match. Cold air in my lungs, but felt not too unfit.

Match today was a disaster. Hour and a half journey for umpires to call it off after 15 mins as it was getting cold and the pitch might freeze.

Was a bit ill yesterday and had driven most of the weekend, but figured I should squat anyway.

Parkrun today. 25:10 in non-running shoes and rather cold weather. Calves cramped up slightly after, but I think that was down to the shoes. Tried to take it relatively easy, so OK with that tbh.

Very solid lifting. Can't believe you did all the assistance as well. I'd have skipped that if doing it all in one day.

Well, I skipped the secondary assistance exercise :P
But given Christmas eating, I felt obliged... Couple of hours in the gym made the cost seem more reasonable too!

Weight loss comp at work. I helpfully Christmas bulked (plus, admittedly, drinking a *lot* of water before weighing) to get myself in at 97kg. Gentle gym sesh today with a guy from work to see how busy the place was. Answer: busy. Did what stuff was quickly free:

Sets before 60kg were with a slightly bent bar and cleaned up. Really pleased with the 60 set and the assistance (all fat gripz). Need to be careful not to lean back when tired though. Definitely happened towards the end of the assistance, and probably on the 6th rep of 60kg too.
