Re: TSR Game Bargains ThreadTake a look at the two posts immediately above yours(Original post by TimHotston)
Hay I wanted to give a shout out to the Humble indie bundle V, this one includes:
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Limbo
Psychonauts
Some other game and if you donate higher than the average you also get Bastion.
All of these are DRM free unless you want to activate them on Steam.
Visit the site below and donate money to charity and get games as a reward.
www.humblebundle.com
An excellent deal, though, agreed!

Re: TSR Game Bargains ThreadI just found about this when I read that they had all done a Reddit interview/AMA. It's a great line up of games especially Psychonauts and LIMBO.(Original post by hobo06)
And Humble Indie Bundle V
Not sure about Amnesia though. It looks the type of game that would make Dead Space look tame in terms of scares and I didn't cope too well with the Dead Space scares.

(though I've not actually played Dead Space myself
) Quite convenient that the 'bonus' game is the one that I already have

Re: TSR Game Bargains ThreadI didn't cope too well with either, but I'd still encourage you to at least give it a try(Original post by Ape Gone Insane)

The only one I don't have is Superbrothers, and I'm just wondering whether it and the soundtracks are enough to tempt me to buy. If I was missing any other game (including Bastion) as well, I wouldn't hesitate, but right now I'm just not so certain. If you've bought it (and didn't pay above the average) did you get the Bastion soundtrack? Or would I have to pay above the average to unlock Bastion and its soundtrack? The wording on the site makes me think I would have to pay more to get the music, since it says "soundtracks included for everything in your bundle", which to me implies that if you didn't pay enough to get Bastion then it's not in your bundle and you don't get its soundtrack.

Re: TSR Game Bargains ThreadI've completed Penumbra Overture, and while I wasn't running out of the room screaming, it really makes me not want to play Amnesia(Original post by Ape Gone Insane)

Re: TSR Game Bargains Thread
Amnesia is really good! I've had it for a while.
There are some crazy scary custom maps you can download, which make the main game look tame
But trust me, its fun with the amount you end up jumping you just start laughing at yourself.. but you have to play it at night in the dark with headphones on, thats when it gets creepy! -

Nah, just the four games and no soundtrack for me.

Re: TSR Game Bargains ThreadEh, I went for it and paid over the average.
You'll have had the soundtracks, but they're on a different tab. Along the top it has "Choose platform: WindowsMacLinux Soundtracks"...and for clarification for anyone else, from what I've seen there, if I hadn't paid the average then I'm pretty certain I wouldn't have had the Bastion soundtrack. -
Re: TSR Game Bargains ThreadAh yes, now I see it. Yeah, no Bastion soundtrack.(Original post by Dalimyr)

Re: TSR Game Bargains Thread
Steam's summer sale should be here in a few weeks, but while we wait for that, GameFly have started off their own. http://www.gamefly.co.uk/download-ga...oastUSA&sec=PC
Deals apparently last for 48 hours and then change. In the first batch here, LA Noire for £5 and Alan Wake for £5.75 certainly catch my attention. Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is a very good game as well, albeit abandoned by the developers in a fairly buggy state, but well worth the £3.75 price tag. If I hadn't been put off the Driver series by the very first game in the series all those years ago, I imagine Driver: San Francisco for £5 might be eye-catching as well.
There are some that definitely aren't worth it, though - Fallout: New Vegas in a sale for £15? It's that much on Steam just now even without being on sale, and if it's in Steam's summer sale in a few weeks you ought to be able to pick it up for (I'd guess) £5 or even £3.75. Save your money for now if you're interested. -
Re: TSR Game Bargains Thread
Just bought Battlefield 3 (download version) for 19 pounds and also received a voucher of 10 pounds on ANY further game/hardware on this German site. If you want the voucher you'll have to pay with a "paysafecard", which you can buy at almost any petrol station and in some local shops (you can look up locations @ paysafecard.com). Since the shop is based in Germany, you'll have to send them some form of ID over email to confirm that you are over 18 (as well as the order number if you want the voucher).
I received my BF key 2 hours after emailing them a copy of my passport and in general they seemed very friendly, sending me the voucher code over email after I asked them (normally they do so by post).
For me, together with the voucher this was an incredibly good deal, also considering that the key is for an english version of BF. (There are 12$ russian keys availble online, but you'll have to change the game language, which involves replacing some files, and this wasn't worth the hassle for me. However, if you are wondering- the russian keys are completely legal and valid and allow you to play on european/american/any other servers.) -
Re: TSR Game Bargains ThreadWhy?(Original post by LtCommanderData)
Might get FC1 just to have the Steam version. -
Re: TSR Game Bargains ThreadWell, for one thing, I'm at university and my copy of Far Cry is at home. Also, if I can't find my physical copy, or it's damaged at any point, it'll be hard to get another copy of it for less than £1.24.(Original post by TrulyEpicLawls)
Why?
To be honest, I doubt I will get it again, as I've played it to death multiple times already, but if I had more free time I would. -
Re: TSR Game Bargains ThreadThis is a surprisingly good offering - Paradox are the ones who instantly jump to my mind, but it also includes Avalanche Studios (developers of Just Cause), DICE (devs of Battlefield and Mirror's Edge, though sadly the latter doesn't appear to be on offer at the minuteTo celebrate the National Day of Sweden we're having a Swedish Developer Week on GamersGate. Grab the finest Swedish devs have to offer at up to 75% off!
) and Starbreeze Studios (devs of Chronicles of Riddick and the, uh, not so good FPS re-imagining of Syndicate), among others.
