Yeah... he's been ****e the past season.

Missed 4 sitters against Birstol City away for example.
Fernando Torres has missed sitters for most of last season

You can't expect Earnie to be scoring for fun when for most of the season he's been on the bench because Davies had his favourites. It was like us, Bothroyd played poor for a large spell yet Jones kept picking him and picking him. 90% of the time he spent more time on the floor. First half of the season he was exceptional, second half, very poor apart from the odd game, one being QPR which was televised. Obviously he was trying to show what he was capable of to premiership clubs. Still, even when he was extremely poor, Jones wouldn't drop him. Then he'd take him off with 10 minutes to go, bring on another striker and expect them to score after being on the bench for so long. Football doesn't work like that. Players thrive off runs in the first team and getting match time.

You've just compared Robert Earnshaw to Fernando Torres...

I thought your thread on how WW3 would happen made you look thick....

    Jesus.

    Jesus.
And where did I compare them? :erm:

I never.... Someone is clearly incapable of reading their own native language. Unbelievable.

Anyway, my point was that all players, even class players, go through bad spells, so therefore it is a bit naive to say Earnie is past it, especially considering he featured mostly from the bench last season. You can't write a player off after one poor season from the bench. The two seasons before that he scored 17 goals.

And my thread wasn't to do with WW3, it was to do with whether another strong country would attack the US and UK. Two completely different things. If you did a degree in International Relations/Affairs, you'd recognise this. I have knowledge of the background im talking about and I have more plus rep than neg rep because more people agree with me. If I didn't have knowledge, I wouldn't have brought the subject up. For example; I don't have knowledge of art or anything of that nature so I stay away from that subject area and leave it to the people who do know.

No wonder people in the BTEC forum argued with you, you seem unable to grasp a lot of the points people are making.

Honestly, why do I bother?

IMO, I would have liked to have kept him. But put yourself in his shoes, a chance to return home, and well, finish up!

All the best to him, knowing my luck, he'll score a hat load.

Earnshaw started plenty of games, including the away games which was different from the season before. We know what we are on about, we are the ones who watch our team week in, week out not the ones who just read snippets on the news or see the highlights on a Saturday night.

If Davies did have his favourites, we would have been starting the same eleven all the time. He always rotated the team around. He was injured quite a lot as well, whenever he was on the bench it was when he was coming back from an injury.

I still rate the guy, don't get me wrong. We offered him a new contract but he is no way worth the £15k a week he would have been demanding. I can see why he has gone back to Cardiff. He doesn't have the pace that he had when we signed him, so he isn't a big loss. Also with the amount of strikers you guys have lost this summer, I'm sure Earnshaw will be starting a majority of your games.

davies did seem to have one bizarre favourite in david mcgoldrick though.

earnshaw's move was good for both him and cardiff but if they think he is going to be as good as he was first time round then they will be a bit disappointed.

Playing McGoldrick, Tudgay and Tyson in our most important match of the season was a strange decision. I'm still undecided on Garner, some people on LTLF seem to think he is our saviour.

Lets be fair to Garner, he'd never really been given a chance under Billy.

Not saying I rate him, I haven't seen enough of him. But if he's as good a finisher as some say, hell, he may be useful this season.

Quite an interesting thread on LTLF about the wages and our supposed salary cap.

I am glad we are doing things the right way but we are missing out on players because of it. Hope we sort it out soon, so I'll be worried come the Barnsley match.

I haven't heared anything about Dan Harding. Shorey wants to come to Nottingham, I'd be happy to have him in the Forest line up.

    A Left-Back! Oh please!
