Biotechnology (in context)

Has anyone on here done any biotechnology as subjects at uni?

Please note: this completely differs IMO from bioinformatics, as I'm finding biotech interesting and cool :smile: unlike bioinformatics :eek: where I had a class today and almost died of boredom :frown:

Yes - had to do microbial biotechnology in my first degree. Thought it was terrribly boring, but was my best module, in terms of exam score, of my whole degree - typical huh!

Hey well done for getting such a good mark, and yeah it's always like that! For me, it's sociology that I do well in, but it's not as useful as the biols in the degree I'm doing :/ Ok you're heaps smart, I couldn't do something like mircobial biotech :redface: Sounds scary :eek: The biotech module our class is looking at is more general, so we get to study cool, but weird things like Vikings genes (I know, it's weird!!).
