    Masters - PGCE
Can ou do a Masters followed by a PGCE or do you just go straight into a PGCE. I ask because its just that my degree i want to study is a combined honours (3 history/humanity subjects) so i wanted to then do a masters in just straight History followed by a PGCE Secondary History. Is this an OK way to do it??

you can do it but whats the point it'll cost you a small fortune. Why not do the PGCE then do a masters part time whilst you are working.

You can do a PGCE straight after your degree, I'd go down that route personally as it won't cost you so much

a masters after a PGCE would constitute professional development (CPD). It would therefore be more sensible as the previous submittors assert, after your PGCE and during teaching; this way you could be more focused but there is also a chance that your employer may fund the study!
