Who cares. Maybe they'll finally make something of the country. If we're not careful it'll just turn back into the steaming pile of turd country that it was before. I mean we've sent £20 billion of aid there, before the earthquake you could have bought the country for less.

it's like iraq, but with collapsed buildings instead of oil.
They have had little success in the past, so i wouldn't worry that much. Also how would they argue their reasons for ocuppying the country, i haven't heard of many islamic extremeist terroists coming form haiti in the past.

The USA has occupied Haiti a number of times in history and it's never done any good, so I doubt they'd be up for any more.

Perhaps it's simply about installing a government which acts in their favour.
