I thought it was London

No cruzy, you know i love LA
Where's York on the list? It's clearly the best, not just because I live there but because it's so good that they named New York after it.

How can you put Milan on and miss out Rome?!?

But I will say L.A.

I've answered this already.
There is a cross section of cities and they're listed for certain reasons.
-Desirability of inhabitance
-Most famous cities

for example, London is ranked about 40th for living conditions but first for finance and with a limit of 16 slots it's quite hard to decide what cities will be listed.

Rome is only considered great for architecture/history and maybe religion

Umm, no Berlin?
I wanna live in Berlin :sogood:
why is berlin not on the list?!
from those cities i'd probably choose london, nyc or toronto.
london and new york are just amazing- there's always something going on, but sometimes it gets a bit too crazy and everyone's always in a rush. i think toronto is wonderful. really buzzing but people are so friendly and laid back! but if i chose toronto over london my canadian relatives would never let me live it down...

No Cape Town?
Seriously, go there and you'll know what people are talking about.

Hmm! Yea I can agree, maybe Rome deserves to be there but it's only really ranked in religious, historical and architectural terms, not really for the modern city criteria which most cities adhere to nowadays!

Atleast during my brief research it was never named anywhere in 'league tables'.

Rome is phenomenal based on whatever criteria you judge it on.

That's simply not true.
None of them - Granada in Spain is the best city in the world.

I <3 NYC!

Out of the two I've been to on that list - London.

I do genuinely think London is a sterling city, though. The history, the insanely busy background, the eclectic mix of cultures, the fabulous mix of architecture . . . it deserves it's place as a major global city.
