can int'l students open a bank account at the uni?? if so wats the minimum balance and also...will i get a debit card for that account ??

do you have to open an account with the university? because to be honest Ive never even heard of a university account (though I may be wrong, I dont know for sure) If you just want to open an account with a bank or building society anybody with proof of Idenity and proof of address can open a bank account, and you can open an account with as little as £1 and if you ask (or more than likely are asked) for a credit or debit card they will be happy to give you one. But if you are going to university (which you more than likely are) take proof that you are a student with you and get a student acount, you get loads of extra benefits and usualy free stuff, but its best to shop arround for the best freebies.
