    Rep - it stinks
I dont like the rep system. I would say that wouldn't I with me little grey gem there, but I think it penalises you for bringing controversial but interesting subjects to the fore.

If you say something that may offend somebody, something a little non-PC, then someone, scared of a few home truths, will give you neg rep.

By my system, the leader of the site should be the person who has the most red gems obtained by raising a few eyebrows without being rude.

At least its not being boring arse kisser whatever you think.

dont think the rep system is about being an arse kisser, altho rep does tend to be exchanged between those who know each other on the forums... i dont think ppl actually do give rep for really good comments (in my exp anyway)

and how do u get grey gems? by having neg rep?

I've said some controversial things in my time here and never had any neg rep. Maybe it's the way you say it...

You're right it less than what I started with. Thats because I offended a lode of fat people. But they were dead against my point and wouldn't listen to scientific evidence. I didnt get that by being rude I got my neg rep for saying what I think and probably what is true. But people just get offended because they dont like hearing what everyone else is thinkin.

Ive got 3 neg rep in my time. Lucky they came from people with low reps. And they surprisingly didnt put any form of ID with it. Otherwise by now they would be so deep into red they would be laughed at...

All I have is neg rep. I have said some valid points but you only get rep for the bad things you say. Even if they are true.
