This may be a little late but I suggest you think about why you want to study film basically. The course is purely theoretical (as I'm sure you know) so be sure to emphasis the fact that you want to study film as art. Think about which films, directors or genres particularly appeal to you and why. Think about technical aspects (mise en scene, editing, cinematography, use of colour etc) that you think contribute to the overall effect of the film as well as thematic elenments and various 'issues' that relate to specific films or directors. For instance, if you like film noir you could discuss the presentation of gender and sexuality in such films, and the emphasis on creating a mood/tone.

They don't usually do interviews though - are you sure it is a formal interview rather than an open day?

That's new then! Must have changed in the past year or two.
