From what I know Bristol is a very respected Uni (according to the Times)... I've heard from friends that in general Maths and Physics degrees aren't very competitive, but are respected. Bristol is a very competitive University. Hope that helps.

maths and physics are allways gonna be respected degrees because they show your very numerate and can cope with that sort of work etc

Of course, those pure academic subjects don't have specific jobs related to them at the end but they would be respected i'm sure for most jobs you would want to do.

Yes, Bristol is respected, and the Physics department is quite nice, although I don't know about Maths.

They're my insurance, so fingers crossed I don't go there (although I'd be reasonably happy to)
