Literacy and numeracy tests will be pretty basic, think the first question on a foundation GCSE paper! There'll also be a written piece to see if you have any learning disabilities. Interview will be why do you want to do this, what do you want to do in the future, your past, etc.

Yeah don't worry its very informal, at least mine was. The mathematics tests questions things like basic geometry (area of a square etc) and writing worded numbers as units (two thousand and thirty = 2030, LOL)

The literacy test is spelling, as well as some analysing and comparing of a written piece, again, very straight forward.

The only requirement I had for my interview was that I had to write a 500 word 'essay' on why I wanted to do an Access course.

Im attending and Infomation event, which I had to book through my local Uni's Access division, in which Ive been told by the career advisor will be a informal 2 hour evening where can ask questions, and an informal interview about why I want to do an access course, and apparently also formally choose the subjects... also a literacy test... I asked her no maths?? and she said no! Im going on the 16th... brushing up on spelling as it's never been a strong point!!
