It must hurt to not be able to deadlift for a month! Especially when you have to replace them with squats which you hate lol.

Not sure about the one month figure but my traps are still playing up. So we'll see what happens. Might up my rep count/volume a little on the squats but we'll see. Apart from grip, I can't see my back getting weaker given my particular style of squatting...

    Re: The Road to 3/4/5
Had a rough few weeks in terms of sleep/eating/whatever. I think the best way to get back into the swing of things is to lose the ego and do starting strength esque stuff with a ridiculous running start. I don't think I'll lose any muscle/strength, even if the first 2-3 weeks of workouts are as easy as I think they'll be. Whatever the case, it'll mean I'm not training on the nerve for a while, which is probably for the best.

    Squat
    work up to 110x5,4,3
    Incline Smith

    Re: The Road to 3/4/5
Some semblance of strength is returning. But slightly strained my groin while squatting so didn't lift very much lower body stuff today
    Cleans
    20x5 30x5 40x5 50x4 60x3
    Squats
    60x5 80x1 90x1 100x1 quit
    Sumo Deads
    80x4 110x1 120x1 130x1 140x1 Did not feel good so quit
    Bench
worked up to 90x2,2 so could probably have hit 95 with my new and improved arch.
    T-Bars
worked up to 35kgx7-8 for 3-4 sets 40 threw off my strict form so too much for now.
For no reason other than I am retarded, got into a curl competition with one of my friends. As many singles as possible on 40kg as possible. I have no clue how many we got to but I won.

NB: Push press then lowering the bar to the chin for 60. This is a definite PR for me. I am very happy with this. Good form etc
    Neutral grip chins

Pump sets with a modified sternum chinup. My lower lats felt tight so wanted to get some blood in there.

    Re: The Road to 3/4/5
Just feeling a bit slow/off colour in general the past few days. Not eating enough or well
    Snatch
    20x8 30x2,2 35x2,2 40x2,2 45x2,2 50x2,2
    Cleans
    55x2,2 60x2,2 65x2,2
    Press
    20x10 30x2 32.5x2 35x2 37.5x2 40x2 42.5x2 45x2 47.5x2 50x2
    Push Press
    52.5x2 55x2 57.5x2 60x1
    Some upper back excercise 5x10
Hammer Strength Seated Press (love this machine)
    work up to 45x9 50x5
I seriously think that working up to 7-12RM then adding 5kg/lbs depending on the excercise and repping out again is going to be my dominant rep scheme for a while. Very bodybuilding-esque but I'm too worn down to do anything more...normal for the forum. Probably non-optimal but it seems to be working. Give it a month to see how this pans out.
