62.5 fail at usual point just at eye level.
Still though, that equals my PR. With no warm up. Weird, very, very weird.

    Re: The Road to 3/4/5
Lots of cleans, probably too many. Getting a nice pop but possibly too much energy expended for big pulls afterwards
    Sumo DLs
    work up to 145x7 150x3
Not going to fault that on a very poor night of sleep/undereating for a few days. My weight's been going down. I'm at 65 ish or so now down from 68. It doesn't sound like too much but going up a few kilos has always allowed me to break plateaus so....
Some lat pulldowns and shiz to make me feel less crap.
Foam rolling when I got home.
Bought bands and knee sleeves from strength shop. They really change the dynamics of the lift. Will do some DE deadlifting soon. They're too short to bench with though, given how the band hooks are set up. Oh well, will get some extra eccentric-less work done and speed deadlifts so not going to complain there.

    Re: The Road to 3/4/5
Like a kid at Christmas after doing band bench presses. It's...different and provides variation. I have no the slightest clue whether it will do anything constructive for my bench
Warm up using dumbells up to 28x5
    Band bench press
    20x5 30x3 40x2 45x2 50x2 55x2 60x2 65x2 70x1 (slow as hell)
    Bench
    60x5 70x1 77.5x4. Slow. Not good.
    Band speed bench
    40x2,2,2,2 50x2,2,2 40x2
Did lots of band pull aparts, rows and the like in between sets.

Worked up to 75x6 on the bench/140x1 on the sumo bench. Quite a few t-bars. Nothing really of note

Did curls yesterday. Good form, pauses and good contraction. i.e. constructive pissing about with the weights.

    Today
    Press
30x5 35x5 47.5x7 52.5x4,3 Quite sure this is a personal best on the press. Which is not one of my better movements.
    Pullups
couple of sets of 3-5 with 3-5 second contractions at the top. This completely destroys my numbers but I actually feel my back working, which is why I do that right now.
Band rear delts for a few sets of 3-8

    Sumo Deadlift
    up to 150x5 155x1
Pretty ugly for the last rep or two of my 5 rep set but nice and clean for the 155. Probably had 160 but I was dog tired.
    Curls. Paused technique. Good pump.
    Band curls.

Definitely a pb for 50kg. Happy as long as my main workset goes up. Would have attempted more sets but did lateral/rear delt raises to pretty much exhaustion (which is not that much but I'm ridiculously out of shape) so pretty happy overall.

    Why aren't you squatting brah?
Honest, answer? Can't really be arsed/wanted to hit 150 for reps on my sumo. I know that I'd hit that faster without squatting. That's pretty much it. I'm also mulling over changing my squatting style to a narrower, more upright one.

I think the plan is pretty much now 4 days a week (starting whenever the Bloomsbury reopens)
    Monday
    Squat
work up to a conservative 5-8. 1 set with 5-10kg more for 2-5 reps
Put up the weight by 2.5-5kg whenever I reach that
Pullups: as many sets of as many reps on bodyweight-BW+10kg where I feel like I'm squeezing hard

    Tuesday
    Bench
Pretty much the same as the squat except naturally on the lower end of the progression
supersetted with read delt raises or face pulls for high reps
    Dips
work up to 1 set of BW+whatever for 7-10. BW dips to burn
super set with rear delt raises/face pulls for high reps

    Thursday
Sumo Deadlift: same loading/progression scheme as the Squat
Pullups: work up to a heavy triple or three
    Curls: whatever I feel like

    Friday/Saturday
    Press
Same loading scheme as the bench except I might use 1kg increases if it comes to that. lose 10kg for resets.
Super set with lots of read delt/upper back work
    Pullups 1-2 sets to failure
Curls: who cares as long as you've done an ok weight and actually make the biceps do the work?

Will be doing power cleans/snatches in the deadlift/squat workouts so they are not totally neglected but they are not the focus. This plan has been sort of working so far (except for squatting, which I just have not done.)

    Press 55x4, 2, 2,
A load of curls and rear delt work. Yes, I know curlz for the gurlz. Will be back to normal workouts with a deload on all lifts except bench on tuesday. Aim to press 3x a week. Mostly light for technique though.

Cheers. I doubt I'll be chasing your 5 plate deadlift anytime soon on a linear periodisation plan though

Linear progression is pretty much the name of the game at the moment.
    Press
35x5 40x5 45x10 (should really have had more. Not used to high rep presses at all, or the burn for that matter)
    Sternum chins
    6,6
    some rotator cuff stuff

    Re: The Road to 3/4/5
    Squats
Worked up to 100x5,5,3 (hips felt a bit rough)
    Bench
    Worked up to 65x6+1+6, 7+4+1
Basically I'd hit the J-hooks every now and then because I'm not used to the bench. Not used to the burn either...
    Chinups
    bwx8 bw+5x3 bw+10x3 Bw+15x3 BW+20x1
good 2-3 second contraction at the top. Chest to bar or as far as I can go overhand.
