Re: Ask Absolutely Anything! (+FAQ)
Maths to Classics? Wow. Didn't know a jump that radical was possible!
It's harder if you're changing departments for sure. Last year I was doing French and Italian Studies and now I'm doing straight up Italian - it was just a case of my head of department chucking me out of the department and readmitting me and letting the French dept know they didn't need to worry about me any more for modules or what have you. So that was easy.
Best bet is to just email and ask the relevant admissions tutors/heads of department/course secretaries/etc and see what's possible

Re: Ask Absolutely Anything! (+FAQ)No, it's easy to transfer from Maths. It's not easy to transfer in general.(Original post by cazzy-joe)
Is it easy to transfer between course in Warwick. For example Maths to Physics ; maths to chemistry; maths to biochemistry.
I have applied for MORSE and Maths but now i'm not sure if I want to do straight maths
Anyone experienced with transfering???? -
Re: Ask Absolutely Anything! (+FAQ)
I've got the same problem! Applied for psychology but would like to transfer to management?? Could I actually email them and ask them to be transferred before the course starts? or do i have to wait after a year of doing psychology and then try and change?? Help!!

Re: Ask Absolutely Anything! (+FAQ)I've had a look at the bus routes online - earliest I've found is if you walk down past Gibbet Hill to the cross roads at the end of the road, then catch the X17 shortly after 0611. You'll then get into Coventry for 0633. Any earlier than that and you'll need a taxi.(Original post by Zweihander)
Does anyone know where I can find the bus schedule/times? Basically I just need to know if I can get a bus from uni to Cov at 6 in the morning, or possibly a taxi?

Re: Ask Absolutely Anything! (+FAQ)Reason???? Is it because of high conditions of offer????(Original post by Zweihander)

Re: Ask Absolutely Anything! (+FAQ)Yes. The Maths courses have the highest entry requirements at Warwick.(Original post by cazzy-joe)

Re: Ask Absolutely Anything! (+FAQ)Yes, totally drinkable. No one has died yet!(Original post by electriic_ink)
Is the water in the rooms drinkable? My guess is it that if it weren't the sinks would be plastered with various Health and Safety messages.

Re: Ask Absolutely Anything! (+FAQ)Very possible, just get on the case early in the year.(Original post by Brigitta)
Whats about to find a part time job in Warwick? Possible? Very hard? What jobs you got? How much money you get per week?
Depending on what you look for, the best jobs I hear are basically ones run by the union - such as in all the food outlets. This is because they are so flexible with their times, and the pay is fair, although I don't have a clue how much.
As for the occasional job, later in the year I recommend becoming one of the tour guides for your department or the Welcome Service. They pay very good but are infrequent, here and there jobs. -

Re: Ask Absolutely Anything! (+FAQ)Money is around £6 per hour. If you want a deathly boring job then try and get one in the rootes building or other university outlets, as they pay much more, but they're never busy.(Original post by Brigitta)
