Instead of the IB...could I do this??

I have just recently put up a post about my A levels...but just today I had another thought. So I'm sorry if some of this is a little repetitive.

My school at the moment doesn't offer the IB on full terms. There are talks of it in the next couple of years...but even then only a limited amount of subjects will be allowed.

Other colleges offer the IB in the area, but I'd really rather got to this one. Besides doing the IB isn't that important to me...

My A Level Options That I've Chosen Are:

English Lit
Maths
Biology
History
Drama (AS only)

All of which I'd take if the IB became possible too. I would also take either French or Spanish.

So my question is...

If the IB were not an option, could I take my five other options and then take a language a level in a sort of gap year???

And would this actually be better than doing the IB?
