I've applied for Maths at Clare. Did the interviewers tell you that we don't hear till Jan because they didn't tell me anything. I can't wait all the way to January!

nope but a friend of mine asked in her interview. i can't wait until tomorrow let alone january! wasn't Clare gorgeous though? Did you stay overnight? the ensuite rooms were wicked!
I'm applying for law at Gonville & Caius...when i asked at the end of my interview, i was told that we should get the letters first thing after new year!!!
The interviewer (both actually) said they were going to attempt to send them out before the end of year, to arrive christmasy time... postal service permitting?!
I dunno whether i'm scared anymore, was terribly ill on the day and it didn't go too bad (i think!)...
Why do you think your interviews went bad, my mum was talking to the porters, and they said that those called for interview are basically 'in'... it's like fine-tuning?! SO i think you have a great chance of getting accepted!
NatSci has the biggest intake, so was it quite competitive for you?
I'd love to go there, but if i don't get accepted it's not the end of the world, i have my insurance! Did you apply for any others?
Good Luckxxx
Eek! Can't believe letters might be here sooner than new year, argh!! Oh well, be good to get it over with!! I thought my first interview went really well, I just seemed to click with the interviewer and felt really at ease. It was just the 2nd, with the admissions tutor, it went terribly! I hardly got any answers right straight off and had to be prompted all the time. Oh well, nowt can be done now.
Aww, weren't the porters lovely? I kept getting lost (am hopeless!) but they were really helpful, bless. How many interviews did you have? Tell me how you get on! Good Luck!! xx

same with me: first interview was fine, but i really couldnt tell what the guy in the second one was thinking. he hardly talked at all...
do you think theyll post the letters all in order to reach us after new year or mightn it vary btween subjects? for example architecture only has 5 places at the most to give (at jesus), it cant take ém that long to consider who gets an offer, can it?
anyway, good luck anyone!!! it'd probably be good to start a cam answer thread once the first answer has arrived...
I applied for Economics at Jesus. Really nervous wait now. Did anyone get that "see you next year" from the porters, they were nice guys so i hope they weren't messing me about. Of course i replied "hopefully".

The porters were great, everyone was really friendly! I had two interviews and an exam, but luckily both my interviews were in the morning, exam lunchish and then HOME! Well i didn't think they went that bad.. ah well..

They'll probably post em at the same time, I called the admissions office and asked when they were being posted and she said the 30th. I didn't specify a subject or anything so hopefully they'll all be sent at the same time. I can't believe it takes them so long to decide either!! Oxford got them out straight away and we have to wait ages grrr! Makes you wonder why..... maybe it's the pool system? At Oxford they pool you there and then don't they? I think the tutors email around other colleges suggesting that they interview the applicants they recommend, whereas in Camb it's an actual physical "pool room" where the admis tutors from other colleges go and pick out what they want. Perhaps it takes longer that way? *Sigh* Oh well, what will be will be! What day were you there? Good Luck! xx

No! Uhoh! Possibly because I stood outside chatting to one of them about how awful my 2nd interview was! Lol! How did yours go? Beautiful col isn't it? Good Luck! xx

thanks for your answer.
youre probably right, theyll send them out on the same day... which saves me driving to the barracks earlier coz thats were my post is currently going...
i was there on the 10th but i stayed the night b4 and after, as i flew over from germany (very helpul that germanwings flies to stansted, i hope i will be using that plane more often in future...).
My general went really well but my subject interview was awful! I hardly got anything right at first, and only when I was prompted LOADS did I finally come to the correct answers. Bit of a catastophe really! I didn't really get a chance to express myself about particular areas I find interesting either, so I came across as pretty bland really. I suppose there's no point in worrying, what's done is done! I'm really scared about the resulst though, I just want to know now!!
That sounds pretty much like my Comp Sci. interview at Trinity Hall. The admissions interview was ok, but the second one was horid.
As for the letters - I don't think they're going to be with us untill after new year. I've also got this nasty feeling that mine's going to arive on my 18th birthday :O

Trinity Hall is a wicked choice for compsci, lots of very talented compscis, and they have a good student run computing setup. Did you get interviewed by Simon Moore? He's a very funny guy, went to wake up one of his students who hadn't turned up for his 10am lecture, which must have been quite a funy way of being woken up.

wasn't Clare gorgeous though?
Won't argue with you there, the gardens are gorgeous for revising in when it's sunny in the exams term.

the ensuite rooms were wicked!
They are very cool, I lived in Q1 last year, two good sized rooms and an ensuite... missing it this year Which room did you stay in?
Good luck to all the Clare people, you know statistically only one or two of you should get an offer... but I'm sure you all will.
