yeah, it does have 3 years warranty I believe (or was it 2? can't remember) but it's still really annoying when you're really getting into a game and suddenly you're greeted with a colourful red light for a few weeks till it gets repaired XD

Until a few months ago i would of said Xbox, i did have an xbox and a ps3, but then my xbox died, which was unfortunate, release model, lasted 4 years. Im actually starting to prefer the PS3 now, it seems to be getting good exclusives now, i love bluray, the only gripe is the pad, the xbox pad is tonnes better ergonomically. But if you can afford, i would go ps3.

Toss a coin. Both are good consoles. Both have good exclusives. Both have multiplatform games that are better than on the other.

Get a PS3. The online is free and you don't have to pay £60 for a wireless thing. Also Killzone 2 and Uncharted are both exclusive to PS3 and they are both amazing games. Furthermore God of War is also a great game exclusive to PS3.

I'm getting a Ps3 later this year hopefully, both consoles have such great games that your probably doing yourself a disservice by not having both.

The way I see it is this: If I buy a PS2 instead of an Xbox, I miss out on halo 1, halo 2, amped and Jet Set Radio Future. I can't think of any combination of four games on the PS2 that would make up for not having those games.

Halo is godlike and it is awesome to see someone else who appreciates JSRF, GOD KNOWS THAT GAME WAS SUPERB but ps2's breadth of titles completely trumped the xbox and the GC. Devil May Cry, Onimusha and GOW for the hack and slashers, to the myriad fighting games and then the cult classics like Persona, SotC and Ico. There is a reason why it was the best selling console of all time, the PS2 was just untouchable.

That is garbage, independent questionnaires put it at about 54%, MS pegged it at 30%. And that was by the goddamn manufacturer, anything above 10% for a well known consumer electronics product is ******* laughable. Truth is, the 360 is a disgrace when it comes to reliability, possibly the worst ever console in terms of deficiencies. I've been following gaming for 15 years and done considerable research, I dont think any single console has been plagued with as many design deficiencies as the 360.

Well in the debate of where backward compatability is more desirable, that's why I say Xbox. Hack/Slash, fighting, and racing games all tend to be very heavily graphics and animation dependent, so they fade the fastest of all games as better technology increases. Even if PS2 had the better of these back in the day, they are almost never as good as the brand new thing on the next-gen console. So it's really just a case of 'which games from the previous console would you miss the most', and I'd have to say I'd miss the Xbox stuff.

PC has an absolute deathgrip on the games that last the longest in any case, which is pretty much the main reason to own one despite the flaws.

Gameinformer (your independent questionnaire ) put it at 52%, questionable survey to say the least, any statistician would disregard those findings straight away, as there was lots of bias. Also Microsoft put it at 30%, nearly 2 years ago, i remember before the falcons were even released. And just to finish of, a recent survey from a independent warranty holding firm, had a chart of 360's and their damage rates which indecently was under 3% for jasper.

I had a Gamecube but I prefered the Xbox titles to PS2 and GC. I prefered the RPGs like Jade Empire and KOTOR, over games like Devil May Cry and GOW.
