This whole thread is an embarrassment to both sets of fans.

    Versus

I think the answer is clear.
Is that real or fake blood, with rugby you never know if its real or not.

I am a football fan but I found rugby to be more fun to play for some reason.

Both are interesting sports. So Football Vs Rugby = Sport Vs Another Sport..

Football requires skill and talent, Rugby requires fat and pace.
If Rugby requires fat and pace how come that the best rugby players nowadays are smaller and more agile, the things people post on here can sometimes be so obnoxious

Whenever Wales loses a rugby international the rate of wife beating in the country doubles over the next week. Can't be arsed to find the statistics but look it up I'm sure you'll find it.

So if beating up women makes it a mans game, rugby wins hands down.
Are a lot of the welsh population of males married to male football players then?

Rugby = Failed footballers or son/grandson of a failed footballer.

Almost everyone I know who plays Rugby tried football first, and failed. They just didn't have the technique, patience and vision.

    --

I'm not trying to hate on Rugby whatsoever. I find many of the arguments in this thread inaccurate. The pictures of men in blood don't say anything about the sport. They just represent what was once an injury.

You can't be serious about footballers only using one body part :lolwut: That is more moronic than the post you quoted!

Hmm, have you guys not observed this then? Maybe it's just almost every rugby player I know. Most of them tried football, failed, then took up Rugby.

On the other hand, I haven't witnessed as many people who have taken up Rugby, then switched to playing football.

PS: Yeah, us footballers only use one body part...

It might just be because of the specific area you are from. People from rugby areas, grammar and private school will nearly always play rugby first and football second if ever.

I was fairly lucky in that I always played both as my school was a specialist sports college/comprehensive, so it never really became a choice except for which one I preferred playing.

Can I say - I play ladies rugby. It's not just the whole rolling on the ground thing that annoys me about football. They just don't seem to have core values or standards. I see too much abuse given to refs, bad sportsmanship and racism in football. It is also not dealt with as it should.

Oh and they are over paid in football.

They are not overpaid, they are paid exactly what they deserve.

If football players reserve that much money then our public service workers should be on more.

No they shouldn't. That is Idiotic.

Footballers are paid what they deserve as they do something that only a tiny minority can actually do and if public workers were to get more money then would you be willing to pay about 50-70% taxes to pay for them?

I genuinely think a lot less of any person that utters such a stupid comment.

Its comments like the one above Mess that annoy me, when they say stuff like Footballers shouldnt be paid that much Soldiers should, i respect what Soldiers do but theres always going to be a lot of them its hardly a profession which is severely limited, where as footballers on the huge amount of money are, only few get to that level and pay most of them have to get another job as well. The best get paid that much because they are the elite of the elite. Also we pay to watch football, we dont pay to watch wars, footballers get paid because of TV and the Fans. If there were no fans and sponserships and that then yes footballers get less but because its such a global demand you need to expect there to be higher pay.
