Yeah, she was a pashtan refugee in Afghanistan during the Soviet war.
Picture was taken in 1983 by an undercover reporter. She was 13, but she really doesn't look it.
I guess it's also the mystique behind the picture which makes it so stunning.

I once got talking to a girl with the most amazing eyes.

yeah alot of pataans esp. from afghanistan have very beautiful eyes but not as nice as that pic!

Ditto this! I don't know what it is but these pictures just make me feel a bit sick.
Moreso the first one.. I'm not entirely sure why, either. I don't mean to say they aren't nice pictures but things like this always gross me out... Exactly why I never like looking through a microscope
