    Re: UCA Rochester
I had an interview a month ago and found out last week i have an unconditional to study fashion promotion (: The interview is really not as bad as you're expecting. I was so nervous and didn't knwo what to think, but it's really short, really relaxed, just one on one and while you're waiting you have to do a small bit of written analysis. It's perfectly fine. But it is best to put together a small collection of work, even if it's some written work and a couple of mood boards, just so they have something to look at. Good Luck!

I had an interview about a month ago too.. I agree with emmalou its not as bad as you think it will be, I study music at the mo so I wasn't too sure what to put in my portfolio but I made a couple of mood board/collage type things and I included bits of my written work, the guy who interviewed me was really chatty and it was more like a getting to know you conversation than an interview..
As long as you show how much you want to do the subject you should be fine..
    Good luck..x

    mdonoghey:

you shouldnt of turned the uni down cos im doing biology, psychology, economics and maths....i had NOO work to show them, but i just typed up a few things n attemted some photography. the lady that interveiwed me really didnt mind, she said it showed that i have determination to make everything outside my studies...but SERIOUSLY it was a total piece of crap..i was so embaressed...... its more about what u say

    another general point:
    - i applied for fashion promotion
    - its my firm
-i am really sh**ing it for accomodation because im scared i wont get uni accomodation n ill have to shares a house with ppl i duno....so i though ill make sum friends now xD

I've got an interview in January for Fashion Promotion this was really helpful & makes me feel a bit less nervous & more positive!
What did u put in ur portfolio/say to get an unconditional offer? That'd be my actual dream to get that
Also (sorry haha) but what type of analysis did they ask u to do while u were there?

    That sounds good!
I've got some things I did for media like a magazine front cover, double page spread, album artwork etc then some photography/styling stuff plus some written work 'cause they said to include examples of that

    awh I know the feeling!!!
Don't panic though, the interview is ok
Errrmmm I'd say put a bit of everything in because fashion promotion is such a broad course everything from styling, to writing, drawing or mood boards etc would be fine (Y) That's the kinda thing I had in mine (minus the drawing though!) What have u got atm in ur portfolio? xxxxx

    Re: UCA Rochester
    Aww thank you
Well I have a fashion blog so I printed a bit of that out, just some writing on market research for music and some like designer profiles. Got a few moodboards and just little bits and bobs after that. Just hoping that is enough. Have you had a offer from there? Is it nice? I Can't wait to see it. Would love to be able to travel to London alot aswell. Sounds the perfect combonation. xxx
