What are Intensive A Levels?

Are they A3 Levels? Can someone explain the A level process to me please? :confused:

I want to be an English teacher and so after I've finished my GCSEs I'm going onto AS Levels and then A Levels. And then I want to take a teaching course. It says I need A3 Level in the subject I want to teach. Is this Intensive A level? I'm confused :s-smilie:

A levels usually taken in 2 years. The first year is usually called 'AS' whilst the second 'A2' and together that is an A level.
Intensive A levels are taken in 1 year.
