wow entrance requirements have been upped

So they should have been; they claim to have a World-class University, but there are some courses that only require BBB. How they were ranked 4th in the World is beyond me.

well if some courses aren't popular, why shouldn't they be BBB? They also interview a lot (I know others do too) and from my own experience they clearly don't just give people offers who have the highest grades.

It's because no-one wants to study them probably, it ain't UCL's fault, it's simple supply and demand

At my UCL interview day they got everyone together in one room (about 80 of us) and said everyone here will be made an offer regardless of the interview. I was then interviewed by a graduate student.

I think pretty much all Edinburgh's offers for Arts subjects are BBB. Grade offers don't always reflect the quality of a univeristy - especially since UCL interviews.

And this is why those of us who study less in-demand and smaller courses are grateful that those in charge do not think like you.

UCL prides itself on being a university where you can study things that very few, if any at all, other places in the country offer. Having such a wide range of subjects is one of the draws of UCL for a lot of people and it's what makes UCL the university it is. It wouldn't be UCL if it just offered the typical bog-standard courses that everywhere offers.
