Did the TMA cut off time change or not?

A few months ago I got an email from the OU telling me that eTMA cut off times were going to be 12 noon from then on instead of midnight. I submitted an assignment today which should have been late because it was after noon, but the system didnt say anything about it.

So, did the time change or not? That extra 12 hours could have come in handy. :stomp:

What usually happens if you try to hand in an assignment late? Days after the last hand in date for my first ever eTMA, there was still an option to submit.

You get a warning message telling you that your tutor is under no obligation to mark it and that it may count for nothing.

Yep, the cut off time has changed to 12 noon, but with a 12 hour 'grace period' taking you up to midnight.

The reason for the change is so that there are tech staff available if the system decides to go down, I think.

So technically you get till midnight as long as nothing breaks? good.

Yeah, although a couple of people have said that their tutors don't know about the grace period, so it might be safest to check with your tutor if you're going to submit late.
