I suppose... We Norwegians just like to think highly of ourselves. Surprised no one knew Norway gives out the Nobel Peace Prize though, which is pretty big internationally... And take it that we had to learn about all the countries in the Americas, Africa etc in primary school I had suspected that they at least knew something about it (North Europe you say? Is that like, Spain and stuff?).

There's been a recent pool in Spain, and americans are the worst appreciated, together with moorish (see latest editions of El Pais or El Mundo) Here in Spain we considerate american people as dummies, without any respect for human life and human thoughts, they don't even know where Spain is located, they think it is in South America... The standard american is fat, with a nil knowledge in general culture, just like Homer Simpson.

Who cares where spain is? Nice place to holiday, but then so would Nigeria if they did the place up a bit. AS for the spanish in general, they aren't really much better. having spent their history losing at everything, the only way they ever managed to conquer was because they were so disgustingly riddled with disease that whole armies dropped dead in front of them!

Well, the structure of society and even the concept of nationhood are changing pretty rapidly all the time. But, what do we do, have a new anthem every 50 years?

I personally think "God Save the Queen" is a horrible dirge but I don't think we necessarily need to change the anthem everytime society is measurably altered.
