Yeah, there's genuinely no point bringing a car. The traffic is awful and there's nowhere to park. You can get to uni really quickly on a bike - a couple of guys I know do it and they make it in 10 mins or so.
And yes it's snowing!
We've been making an igloo today - a walrus igloo!

SO looking forward to uploading pictures of my room

I'm going to Canterbury, and my first choice for accomodation is an all new building, so it's nice to know I'll be a help to some people. Downside is, nobody has pictures of it yet so I'm not sure what to expect!

That's Bath, Marlborough and Solsbury Courts. If you like that, have a look at Woodland Court!

Re: Post pictures of your dorm room!any reason why your room looks SO big compared to other Whitworth rooms i've seen :O(Original post by Anatheme)
My room in first year at Manchester (Whitworth) was a bit prison-like in terms of decoration, but it had a mahoosive desk that I really, really miss!

(That and the fact that I hadn't started to hoard stuff, at the time…)

Re: Post pictures of your dorm room!
Has anyone took a sofa in their room? My room is big enough to fit (squeeeze perhaps) a little sofa in, like a metal frame thing that I got for £20, but I'm worried I'll look completely over the top moving in with a sofa. My halls don't have a communal living area or anything, so I liked the idea of having a sofa and telly in my room..

Re: Post pictures of your dorm room!Do it. People probably won't think less of you (unless you end up living with really insecure weird people) and you'll probably actually end up having friends over for films a fair bit if you have loads of seating space in your room. My experience dictates that this 'honour' is always bestowed upon the one with the most comfortable room or failing that the one with the biggest DVD collection.(Original post by FrancescRose)
