Do it. People probably won't think less of you (unless you end up living with really insecure weird people) and you'll probably actually end up having friends over for films a fair bit if you have loads of seating space in your room. My experience dictates that this 'honour' is always bestowed upon the one with the most comfortable room or failing that the one with the biggest DVD collection.

Okay, so it's not really my room as such, but this is what I did to decorate at Christmas unfortunately I didn't get any photos of the whole room this year, but it wasn't too exciting anyway

I had a slanted roof, meaning I got an extra few square centimeters instead of having a straight wall
(That and the fact that I hadn't started to hoard stuff, at the time…)

The area around the School of Management (lister park) and some parts closer to Leeds are nice though
And I tend to stay on campus most of the time. The accommodation and students union are amazing! -
