The rooms are a bit drab so I'm glad I brought posters etc along.

As you enter the room the en-suite is to your left. These photos were taken at the start of term (only ones I've got and I'm at home atm), so a few things have changed. -

however I think it will be a lot, I was making lists yesterday and it's like foundation, tinted moisturiser, concealor, blusher, bronzer, brown eyeliner, black eyeliner, black liquid eyeliner, black mascara, brown mascara, eyeshadow (various) and then random stuff like Barry m pots! And make up brushes. Lol I laughed at myself when I wrote that list

The most disgusting thing to happen on our floor was this one girl who'd leave her used sanitary products in the bathroom opened out. In the sink and on top of the bin. Ewwwww. -

I've posted this pic on another thread before I think but this was my old room in halls (my flatmate pointing out my mattress which I had to slice open with a knife to retrieve my hamster)
Hamster in question:
I had 7 hamsters, 2 rats, 5 fish and a frog. And no we weren't allowed pets.
......and I also got my full room deposit back, despite the mattress. Ahahaha

I know one student who did paint his walls but he painted it back at the end of the year and they didn't notice. However, he never got an inspection while he was living there which could have been a problem.

and now I'm slightly worried about the state of my room compared to these. Granted, I'm not in halls anymore but I'm a firm believer in the floordrobe.
For anyone interested, where i was last year. Chamberlain Halls, Glen Eyre complex, Southampton. I was twinned for the first 6 weeks (hence the two beds).

I'm no longer at QMUL but I studied Geography there. The older residences have really big rooms with a built in wardrobe and sink and some of the kitchens have a balcony overlooking the canal and park. It's about £30 cheaper (or was when I was there) than the ensuites. -

Haha I would expect it to be the other way round - Uni room = Tip but Home room = Better because of all the nagging
