Is a Bcom from McGill really prestigious in North America ? + Immigration to the US

Well, I have been seeking guidance for weeks and I will try to extract the essential facts from what I know and discovered.

- The Bcom is not the best course in terms of quality in Canada
- McGill is the only canadian university known outside of Canada (huge advantage for international students)
- Desaultels (Bcom) mainly benefits from the McGill overall name recognition. (8 Nobel Prizes) That is the most important thing for employment prospects.

I also do know that McGill is quite famous as well as respected in the US.

What would YOU say regarding its reputation in the US/Europe ?
What is the American (Ivy League) equivalent of McGill (esp. Bcom) ?

Finally, I heard immigration to the US is more difficult than what one might think. How hard is it for an EU student to obtain a visa (for work) for the United States ?
Has anyone dealt with this ?
