Engineering...

I just firmed Civil Engineering at UCL and was wondering how much the workload is? I will be living at home and only other thing i care for is that there is enough time for me to go to the gym for 2 hours a day 5 times a week.

With all the practical work and travelling will i have time for a social life or even the gym? Any current students able to help?

Also, i'm considering changing course if possible once uni starts to straight maths. Will that be any less work or not?

Thanks
Engineering generally has quite a high workload for most people, since most people get the best grades by practising the problems many times. Engineering's also a lot of fun, so it's not that bad, really.

But you can still have a social life. And you can still go to the gym (although god knows what you're there for 2 hours 5 days per week). Depends on how efficient you are with your time.
