Just wondering.. anyone planning on doing the Army UOTC at Leeds starting September 2010?! (University Officers Training Corps)

Yep, should be a right laugh, allthough I highly doubt we'll get paid following the fallout of the budget. Still, a drinking club with an Army problem sounds good to me! Oh and obviously learning leadership skills etc etc.......

Do you know anything about this unit in particular? It doesn't have a website so I've only got the Army website to go on which doesn't give a lot of info.

But can't say I know anything about the Leeds OTC personally...

Although its quite funny that you brought up this thread actually, because I've deciced that actually I think Ive changed my mind, and Im going to join the Leeds/Yorkshire URNU (University Royal Naval Unit) instead!!

haha coz Im definately joining the Navy as a pilot after Uni so this makes more sense... But I hope the OTC will be good fun dude, might see you out on one of the inter-service exercises!! (where the navy take the otc out, and vice versa...) but maybe not...!!

Have fun though, I'm sure the OTC will be sweet! :smile:

Yea I wanted to be a navy pilot first, but I'm red/green colour blind so that's never gonna happen.

Good luck with your URNU then, I'm sure they have inter-service sports etc

Better to join the Carslton TA, the UOTC is very hmm how to word it. Up own asses and actually pretty incompetant in military skills and understanding. TA is my reccomendation, my friend has just transfered his TA to here carrying on his signal specialist role.
