En Suite or Shared Bathrooms?
Just wondering. En suite rooms seem to be around 40 quid a week more than the basic rooms- is it worth it, or better to keep an extra 40 a week?
Edit: Guys, I started this thread nearly two years ago. I've been at uni since September 2010, only used shared bathrooms, and really not found it an issue at all. Anyway, point being, there's no need to specifically answer the question to me (via quote or otherwise) as it really is no longer relevant

Re: En suite- is it worth it?
This is what i'm wondering...it means £40 extra for going out etc...
Are sharing toilets/showers really that bad? If you find something disgusting, you can just go to a different toilet/shower right?
Still can't decide what I want though, more money, or more luxury (but less money...)

Re: En suite- is it worth it?Likewise.(Original post by Nouvelle vague)
At first, I was gutted I didn't get en-suite. Looking back now, I'm don't know why I was so fussed to be honest! It would have been a waste of money imo.
Plus, it is a way to 'meet people' - on the way to the toilet. You're not holed up in your room all the time. I often end up having 10/20 minute conversations on my way to/from the bathroom/kitchen.

Re: En suite- is it worth it?Yeah, same here too! I'm catered as well and it's really good for socialising. I always end up staying in the dinner hall for about an hour!(Original post by I'm_Unsafe.)
Likewise.

I just couldn't do it. I'd rather pay the extra!
I'm dead set on ensuite.
