Too late to apply for Masters?

I hadn't put much thought into doing a masters and was pretty set on finishing my degree and getting a job.
But now I'm not so sure as the job market doesn't seem too good and my lecturer is pretty insistent that I should do a masters.

I've been looking at the GIS Masters course on the Jubilee campus which is pretty much what I want to do, but is it too late to apply?

Also, what about accommodation and funding? too late?

Well, you've not exactly applied early, but I don't think it's too late really either. You can apply online @ http://my.nottingham.ac.uk/pgapps/

You can apply for University funding - http://pgstudy.nottingham.ac.uk/postgraduate-funding.aspx

Or Research Council funding (scroll down a bit on this page to find GIS!) - http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/~lgzwww/taught-courses/postgraduate-courses/postschols.phtml?menu=in

My advice? Apply, but also come up with a backup plan in case it's too late, they've given out all of their offers, or you're unsuccessful, then apply again next year if it's still what you want to do, but apply earlier. Get onto this though if you want it, and get your references and statement sorted quickly, but don't rush them - make sure you're happy with them!

Best of luck!!

Depending on the course, it might be too late. Some courses don't have deadlines and some do. You could email the course director/department to ask but like you've been told, have a backup plan.

It's too late for most funding, particularly the Studentships. Most funding deadlines were in March.
