god you've seen alot xD I only started going to gigs last year though so got a lot of making up to do :P

Ever been to a festival like Titp or Download?
    (Original post by GingerGoat)
Nah no festiivals that big :P:
I go to a festival called Belladrum every year though
Near Inverness, it usually has a great, eclectic mix
I heard a ska/funk and pipe band covers of Katy Perry's Hot & Cold last year, it's that kinda festival, Editors and Twin Atlantic were there too
    Love it

You been to any festivals then?

I'm planning to go see a tonne more bands now I'll be in Glasgow rather than the middle of nowhere!

Who'd be your dream gig then?
Been to TITP twice, Download once and going to Reading & Leeds this year You guys should defo check out some bigger festivals. They are epic. Since I have always lived in Glasgow I have got to see some awesome bands - especially System of a Down :woo:

Also, did you guys get Biffy tickets? I genuinely got the last one on ticketmaster

I applied for Spanish and Sociology, but didn't really think it through, as I've heard that it's easy to change subjects once you're at the uni. Now I'm pretty sure I'd like to take up Tourism instead of Sociology and my question is if it's posibble, cos Tourism is at a different faculty (business school). Can someone help me?

I'm not definitely sure, but I don't think they let you switch courses cross-faculty. Maybe I'm wrong, so the old-age rule of contact the uni is your best bet, they may even be able to change your offer in-house rather than via UCAS? I dunno what priviledges they have.

Okay, but I've looked thought the prospectus and it says:
With our flexible degree programmes, you choose three subjects to study in your first year. The wide range of subjects includes options from other Faculties in the University. This offers you the chance to try new subjects and may lead you to change your original choice of specialism at the end of first year.
And the table beside shows that Spanish can be combined both with Sociology and Tourism Seems perfect, but maybe you're right, I should better ask them just to make sure

Anyway, if anyone has done something like this before, let me know

    You applied for accommodation yet?
I've filled it in and tried to submit it three times and it keeps saying

plenty of jobs if you look. It's as simple as just APPLY EVERYWHERE. hand out cvs, and use websites etc. You will find work, just got too look. Supermarkets are strong choice

No, by being at Strathcylde University full time you are committing yourself to be available for 9-5. but it's nothing like that.

you will find you will have full mornings, afternoons or even full days off.

You might find, you have classes 10-11 then 11-12. And maybe a lab from 2-5 on a monday and tuesday. And then maybe a Wednesday off, and then only mornings on thursday or friday. Overall, as a biomed student. You are NOT in uni that much- especially in second year

IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED ALL STUDENTS WILL GET A WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON OFF which is pretty awesome - this was done by the sports union to allow for sporting events.

    Please quote me for replies
Ooh I've firmed bio med I so hope it's like that! :woo: I put James goold as first choice for halls, then chancellors and james young.

    I'm putting
    1) James Young
    2) Chancellors
    3) James Goold

No that there's much difference between any of them :P:

I have a feeling that James goold is newer or something, but I'm not sure, thats why i put it first, they do all look pretty much the same.
